Energywork

Most treatments are a blend of acupuncture with a deeply embodied energetic healing experience. We weave in energy work such as medical qi gong and chakra balancing, guided meditations into blockages, and biodynamic craniosacral therapy. We listen to the subtle energies through hands on touch and encourage the body to reestablish holistic balance.

The energywork we offer is a blend of many modalities which unfold in a container of sacred ritual and ceremony. We spend most of the session together in some form of supportive energywork modalities. There is typically far less time to rest alone than a standard acupuncture session.

We often also infuse herbal medicine into sessions by calling in plant spirit connections using herbal medicine extracts, and these energies support and synergize with the acupuncture and hand on healing work. Other important elements of treatments include guided meditation journeys into energetic obstructions, connecting with allies in the spiritual realms, and connecting with our inner light and clearest version of self. These profound yet gentle healing arts encourage the body’s ability to reestablish balance physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

There are many elements to energywork as it all blends together as one flowing experience. We use tuning forks and singing bowls often, hot stones are placed on the body to support the energy work, and herbal smudge therapy is a regular core element of energetic clearing during treatments.

The Deeper Offering of Energywork

Thomas is a highly sensitive being, gifted with innate sensitivity, intuition, empathy, and a curious loving heart. What Thomas truly offers is an invitation into stillness, to be seen with an open heart in a safe healing container, to support a return into alignment with a sacred way of being. We shine brightest when sharing with those who welcome journeying into the unknown, even if it may be a challenging process, to explore what is inhibiting one’s fullest expression, and together we may meet and transform it.

Medical Qi Gong

Qi Gong is the ancient Chinese art which promotes the prevention of illness, health maintenance, and the healing of illness. It is a beautiful merging of a movement practice with breathwork, body awareness, and meditation. ”Qi” is the energy and “Gong” is the practice of training the qi.

The practice of Qi Gong develops an awareness of qi sensations in the body, and slowly through practice one can learn to move the energy in the body. The more one practices Qi Gong, the stronger one’s energy becomes.

A practitioner of Medical Qi Gong learns to optimize the body’s vital energy and transmits this healing vibration to others. One can learn to track and release blocked energy in a body and ensure that there is a smooth, free, and balanced flow of qi in the acupuncture channels to encourage one’s health. The experience is very relaxing and usually causes a gentle tingling sensation. It can greatly benefit any healing process.

Often Qi Gong practice is recommended for patients to maintain optimum health, those who practice may recover more quickly and also gain skills to empower their own health journey. We can offer take home practices if you are interested to explore this powerful healing art, however the benefits really shine with long term practice.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST)

BCST is a healing art that is rooted in Osteopathy, it supports the nervous system and guides the healthy regulation and redistribution of tension in the muscles and fascia. This process allows for the resolution of unresolved obstructions, injuries, stress, trauma, and unserving patterns that lie hidden.

We gently hold places on the body and listen to the subtle rhythms that are the expressions of health and intelligence of your lifeforce. We often begin at the feet or at the head, then may move to the place that needs more attention. By noticing these places, by witnessing the blockage, and in offering support and a healing container, people are often able to resolve unintegrated traumas and experiences that have been stored in the body until.

The sessions often involve a process of letting go of patterns that inhibit your health and vitality. As this occurs, we often notice changes in your fluids and body structure and commonly there is an unwinding of tension that is quite enjoyable which creates space for a new pattern to take root. Many people experience a sense of integration of the body, mind and spirit.

There is a tide of expansion and contraction we can perceive when we become very still, and places of stagnation are illuminated as they don’t move like the rest of the energetic-fluid body. Anytime the body cannot fully be with and integrate an experience it is stored in the body. We bring all parts of ourselves with us in every moment, and often we need conscious attention so they may resolve. Until these stagnations are integrated and released they tend to create conditioned stuck patterns of reactivity instead of one being able to truly respond to the present moment as it is. In this medicine art we can explore these stagnations that are stored in the body without needing to know any specifics about the issue. We energetically speak directly with the expression of the body, and you may or may not have knowledge of what it is that is being resolved. It is not invasive and the body only integrates what is available and welcome.

We very much enjoy blending BCST with acupuncture as they are quite harmonious and synergistic, let us know if you’re interested. Thomas has studied and practiced BCST, but he has not taken the coursework that is required to be registered as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist.
